Reproduction

Eggs are laid on a hard surface, the eggs (and hatched fry) are guarded by both parents. First foods for fry can include baby Brine Shrimp, Microworms and commercial fry foods.

 

Feeding

Omnivorous. Eats all normal foods.

 

Additional Comments

Peaceful dwarf Cichlid, suitable for planted community tanks, does not uproot plants. Males grow about 25% larger than females and are slightly more elongated.
